Help Us Preserve Charleston’s History
SHARE YOUR PHOTOS, VIDEOS, MEMORIES, DOCUMENTS, AND STORIES
Charleston has a rich history, and we want to make sure the stories, memories, and moments that shaped our community aren’t lost. We’re working on a project to preserve Charleston’s history, and we need your help! If you have old photographs, home videos, newspaper clippings, documents, family stories, memories, or anything else connected to Charleston and the people who have called it home, we would love for you to share them with us.
We’re also looking for individuals who would be willing to be filmed sharing their Charleston stories and memories. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, have stories that have been passed down through your family, or simply remember a piece of Charleston’s past that deserves to be told, we want to hear from you.
Whether it happened generations ago or just a few years back, every photo, video, memory, and story helps tell the story of Charleston. Help us preserve our community’s history for generations to come!
Fill out the form below or email us at cchfutah@gmail.com to submit your stories, videos and photos!
Photos & Documents
Old family photos, pictures of Charleston homes and businesses, school photos, newspaper clippings, letters, maps, programs, documents, and other pieces of Charleston’s past. Even if you’re not sure it’s historically important, we’d love to see it.
Videos & Recordings
Home movies, old VHS recordings, community events, celebrations, parades, interviews, audio recordings, or any other footage that captures life in Charleston through the years. Old or new, every recording can help preserve a piece of our story.
Stories & Memories
Some of Charleston’s most important history may only exist in the memories of the people who lived it. Share your stories with us, or volunteer to be filmed telling them. We’re looking for longtime residents, families, former residents, and anyone with a Charleston story.
